2025 Christmas Children's Ensemble Rehearsal Schedule

Children in grades 3-7 with unchanged treble voices are invited to audition to sing with the second annual National Lutheran Choir Children's Ensemble at our annual Christmas Festival. 

The NLC Christmas Festival takes place at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis, with this year's performance dates taking place on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13. 

Auditions for the Children's Ensemble will close after Wednesday, October 15. Singers will be notified of whether or not they are selected to sing in the Children's Ensemble by Monday, October 20.

To audition, parents/guardians of singers will submit a video of their child(ren) singing "Happy Birthday." Instructions for video submission are below.

Upload directions:

1) Prepare your recording device to make a video

2) Navigate to this virtual pitch pipe website: https://www.jgibson.id.au/articles/pitch-pipe

3) Click on C or D to hear the starting note for "Happy Birthday"

4) Record your child introducing themselves (name, grade level) and singing "Happy Birthday" starting on either C or D

5) Repeat takes as needed
